TIME released its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world yesterday 13th April and it features a lot of our beloved celebrities.

Two of our favorite footballers also made the cut; the GOAT Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappé.

The Argentina skipper who led the country to win the FIFA World Cup 2022 after 26 years and Kylian Mbappé of France have been included in the TIME 100 most influential people in 2023.

The PSG footballers were among the six athletes who made it into the list, the others include Brittney Griner, Mikaela Shiffrin, Patrick Mahomes II, and Iga Swiatek.

Both of the football superstars played an instrumental for their respective countries at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022.

Mbappe’s hattrick goals for France in their final against Argentina did not do the trick and the Messi-led team won after a thrilling final.

Other notable figures on the TIME 100 list include Elon Musk, Michael B. Jordan, Beyonce, as well as American President Joe Biden, making it his 6th time on the list.
