Harsha Bhogle, a prominent cricket commentator, expressed his astonishment at the batting-friendly pitches in the ongoing eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to Bhogle’s tweet, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has caught cricket fans off guard by providing flat pitches this season, rather than the usual surfaces that support fast bowlers.

Previously, pitches in the PSL were known to support the bowlers, but this season has seen a shift in favor of batters, allowing them to score big.

In the recent match between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars, a total of 442 runs were scored in both innings at the Gaddafi Stadium.

While the match was high-scoring, it also saw an exceptional bowling performance from Shaheen Shah Afridi, who amazed the cricket fraternity with his pace and swing.

Afridi took five wickets for 40 runs, becoming the only bowler in PSL history to record two five-wicket hauls.

In the upcoming 16th match of the PSL, defending champions will face Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The ongoing tournament is full of excitement and surprises, and fans can look forward to more thrilling matches in the days to come.
