England dominated Pakistan in their ICC Women’s World Cup 2023 match at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, South Africa, winning by a massive 114 runs.

After winning the toss, England decided to bat first and scored an imposing total of 214 runs. Pakistan failed to put up a significant fight and was bowled out for just 99 runs.

England’s Danni Wyatt was in top form, scoring 59 runs off 33 balls, which included seven boundaries and two maximums. Wyatt and her opening partner, Sophia Dunkley, provided a good start to the innings with a 33-run partnership.

After Dunkley’s dismissal, Wyatt was joined by Nat Sciver-Brunt, who scored a blistering unbeaten 81 runs off 40 balls, including 12 boundaries and a maximum. Amy Jones also made a notable contribution, partnering with Sciver-Brunt for a massive 95-run standoff only 48 balls.

Pakistan’s batting lineup struggled to get going, with only Tuba Hassan offering any significant resistance with 28 runs off 20 balls.

The English bowlers were too strong for Pakistan, with Katherine Sciver-Brunt and Charlie Dean taking two wickets each, and Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sarah Glenn, and Sophie Ecclestone taking one wicket each.
